I like Chase's theory that it's "Molehog Day" and that if he doesn't see his shadow it's automatically spring. He's got my vote.
Six more weeks of winter and only six weeks until spring seem to be the same thing. Who thought this up, anyway? And why do the ground hog watchers wear top hats? It all springs from too much winter.
